On behalf of Defence IT, you will support and influence key operational and strategic decisions whilst driving business performance, prioritizing long-term value creation and simplicity in decision making. You will also be responsible for effective stewardship over the Defence IT cost base of over £100m pa.

What you will be doing
You will be reviewing, understanding and driving improvement to the entire Defence IT cost base alongside business partnering the Defence Chief Digital Information Officer and their leadership team.
- Consolidating, analysing and reporting on business and financial performance of Defence IT spend to provide actionable information to management. In the short term and over the medium-term window (5 year plan).
- Business partner the Defence IT and Digital team through robust performance management. Including but not limited to Operating Costs, cost rate performance and investment cases.
- Manage a robust risk and opportunities process to steer the business through periods of change and challenging environments.
- Develop and drive improvements to the total defence IT cost base. Enabling cost transparency and opportunity creation.
- Influence and champion the defence business within the roll out of Rolls Royce’s multi year Digital and IT strategy programme.
Who we’re looking for

- Professional financial qualification preferably qualified accountant (CPA, MBA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Resilient, self-motivated and accomplished at forming relationships and influencing people at all levels in the company.
- Knowledge and experience of SAP preferable.
- Be based in the UK/US and be willing and able to travel to our operations anywhere in the world from time to time (if required).
